Shumee is a conscious toy brand focused on providing safe, educational play experiences for modern Indian parents and their little ones. They create thoughtfully designed toys that blend traditional Indian values with modern parenting needs, helping children learn through play while staying connected to their cultural roots.
The Brief
Shumee needed a strong, consistent brand voice that could show up confidently across every platform: Instagram, Meta ads, WhatsApp, the website, and founder-led videos. With multiple stakeholders involved across product, design, and marketing, they were looking for someone who could take ownership of communication, keep the voice aligned, and help the brand speak to parents in a warm, intuitive way.
Key Contributions
• Multi-Channel Scriptwriting: I wrote scripts for Instagram reels, Meta ads, and product-focused videos, keeping the tone natural, engaging, and true to Shumee's parent-first voice. This included scripting content to launch new toys and highlight play-based learning.
• Website and Product Copy: I crafted clear, empathetic product descriptions and website banners that helped parents quickly understand the value of each toy while maintaining brand consistency across teams.
• WhatsApp Community Communication: I led the copy for Shumee's WhatsApp broadcasts, writing short, conversational messages that felt native to the platform and helped nurture their relationship with the parenting community.
The Outcome
Shumee's communication became sharper, more consistent, and more human across every channel. The brand voice felt unified, whether a parent was watching a reel, reading a product description, or receiving a WhatsApp message. This multi-channel consistency strengthened emotional connection, improved engagement, and positioned Shumee as a warm, trustworthy companion for modern parents.
